40ft Vertical Loader for Aluminium Scrap Container Loading

For a Danish customer in the scrap processing sector, VAKO developed a solution to load aluminium scrap into 40ft containers for transport from the scrap yard to the terminal. The customer needed a dedicated setup that fits the realities of daily yard operations and supports consistent container loading.

The customer was dealing with large loading volumes and wanted a method that is safe and fast while keeping handling steps low. Traditional loading routines took more time and did not make full use of the container’s available loading capacity. That meant efficiency losses in the yard and higher logistics costs over time.

VAKO engineered a fully custom 40ft vertical loader, tailored to this specific loading process. The solution was developed in collaboration with Pacton, which supplied the chassis. By tilting the container for gravity-assisted loading, the system supports high fill levels and a controlled, repeatable loading routine, helping the operation work faster without adding unnecessary complexity.

VAKO delivered the full trajectory from design and build through to testing. The engineering team aligned the system with the customer’s operational constraints and loading workflow. The unit was delivered in Denmark and put into use with on-site instruction, a live demonstration, operator training, and joint commissioning tests at the customer’s location.
