Welder / Metal Fabricator

Who are we?

VAKO Transport Systems B.V. designs and manufactures high-quality covering systems and various container loading and unloading systems, both stationary and mobile, delivering to customers nationally and internationally. Additionally, VAKO designs and produces various other constructions containing steel, aluminium, or stainless steel for many different purposes. Due to this diversity of projects, VAKO works for many different sectors, including agriculture and horticulture, civil engineering, waste processing, and bulk processing industries.

Job description

As a Welder / Metal Fabricator, you will primarily work on our covering systems and container handling systems, as well as various other projects. You will be responsible for carrying out construction, welding, and assembly work in our (recently expanded and partially new) workshop.

Your tasks include:

• Setting up and operating various machines
• Assembling metal constructions from technical drawings
• Welding, drilling, grinding, sawing, and punching metal
• Ensuring quality through (interim) inspections
• Maintaining a clean and organised workplace and workshop

Requirements

• Completed VMBO/MBO qualification in a technical field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with MIG/MAG welding
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Able to work accurately, both independently and as part of a team
• Eager to learn and willing to take (internal) courses
• Strong motivation and a positive attitude
