Location: Leiden – Alphen aan den Rijn region (South Holland) Hours: Part-time / 24-32 hours per week

VAKO designs and manufactures high-quality covering systems and various container loading and unloading systems, both stationary and mobile, delivering to customers nationally and internationally. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a commercial and creative all-rounder who thrives on customer contact and marketing — someone who enjoys switching between sales, service, and strategy.

Your Role

As a Sales & Marketing Associate (inside sales), you will have a versatile position where you serve as the link between our customers, partners, and the organization. You combine commercial drive with a fresh marketing perspective.

Your responsibilities include:

Sales Activities

• Preparing and following up on quotations and orders
• Maintaining active contact with existing customers
• Acquiring new customers and identifying market opportunities
• Supporting the sales manager with commercial initiatives

Marketing Tasks

• Executing and further developing the marketing plan
• Managing and updating our website and social media channels
• Contributing ideas for campaigns, trade shows, and promotions
• Analyzing market developments and customer needs
• Developing creative ways to increase our visibility

Who Are You?

You are an energetic, customer-focused professional with an affinity for technology and communication. You switch easily between commercial conversations and marketing projects and enjoy contributing to the growth of an SME with a down-to-earth culture.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level (in commerce, communication, or marketing), through education or experience
• Has experience in inside sales, marketing, or a similar role
• Has an affinity with technology, transport, or agriculture
• Has a good command of English; German is a plus
• Works independently, shows initiative, and takes a structured approach
• Is skilled with social media and has basic knowledge of online marketing (CMS, content creation, etc.)
